For many of us, telecommuting is a way of life. Technology has become a welcome member of our household. And our assorted electronic stuff has mushroomed into an office, filling space that yesterday held no more than a writing surface and comfortable seat. We might be working from super-equipped home offices one day a week or four, or we might use the office simply as project central for family, house, and kids.

  What kinds of furnishings are recommended for a home office?

We need furnishings that are flexible and functional. The more modular they are- that much better will be their functionality. No matter what configurations we opt for, everything — chairs and work surfaces — must be ergonomically savvy. Health and comfort should rank above all else.
